At last a brief moment in this week to think..

This has been an incredibly full on week not without it’s stresses and strains but Aaron Keyes’ record is sounding really great!
I hope it represents where he’s at in this part of the story.

I’ve learned something new everyday not least of all that being a producer is not about being able to do everything, but about who you pull in to help you achieve your vision… to help the artist be who they are. To that end, Paul Mabury, Josiah Sherman and Chris Donahue have been incredible… 13 songs in 4 days, even with a measure of pre pro is a lot of work! Stephen Leiweke of Yackland Studios has been a major part of the team this week and I’m so grateful.

I am gonna miss Josiah after today…he is a serious talent and an awesome guy. I’m so super excited about his band Motopony and what they have coming up, everyone should check them out…Josiah is an incredible producer and musician, and has helped me shape this project as only he could.

So still in progress with a lot to do but loving it and looking forward to today finishing off keyboards with Josiah, Aaron and John Hartley…we’re at Derri Daugherty’s today, who i used to go see as lead singer of The Choir…

I love this city…
